Kollel Shomrei Hachomos Reb Meir Baal Haness

Ever since ancient times, the city of Yerushalayim has been surrounded by chomos – mighty walls that enclose and protect the city's residents. Ever since the founding of Kollel Shomrei Hachomos Reb Meir Baal Haness, the people of Eretz Yisroel have been encircled by תומוחה ירמוש – guardians of the walls; an organization that encompasses every possible tzedakah and provides for every need.
Kollel Shomrei Hachomos is known primarily for its tremendous chessed network that feeds the hungry, cares for the sick, and helps widows and orphans in every way. But the organization is much broader. Like the walls of Yerushalayim, it encircles Eretz Yisroel's Jews, and embraces them from birth to death, and beyond.

From kimpeturin support to old age homes,
Talmud Torahs to kollelim for advanced Torah studies,
Wedding assistance programs and money-lending gemachs

There is no need that goes unanswered.

Thousands of bnei Torah daven and learn in Kollel Shomrei Hachomos batei midrashim across Eretz Yisroel. Thousands of poor, including widows and orphans, participate in massive Yom Tov distributions that bring a spirit of joy and plenty into poor homes. Thousands of departed neshamos benefit from an eternal aliyah, through the Kollel Shomrei Hachomos Keren Kayemes fund.

Kollel Shomrei Hachomos does not just serve the poor of Eretz Yisroel. Ever since the saintly Chasam Sofer zt"l, founded the kollel over 150 years ago, it has brought blessing and salvation to the Jews of chutz la'aretz. The Jews of Eastern Europe turned to the Kollel Shomrei Hachomos pushke in times of joy and distress, and gave tzedakah as they uttered the ancient words, Elakah D'Meir Aneini.

Today, their descendents in the United States and across the world do the same. As they open the doors to their hearts and participate in the Kollel Shomrei Hachomos Opening Doors auction, they open doors to yeshuos and brachos, in the zechus of the mitzvah of tzedakah and in the zechus of the holy tanna, Reb Meir Baal Haness.

Elakah D'Meir Aneini!
